Gambia Red Cross Society Established
The Gambia Red Cross Society (GRCS) was established in 1966 to provide humanitarian assistance and support vulnerable communities across the country, in line with the principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
Legal Recognition and National Mandate
GRCS was officially recognized by an Act of Parliament, granting it legal status as a national humanitarian organization and auxiliary to the public authorities in humanitarian matters.
