GRCS Humanitarian Workshop & Public Engagement

The Gambia Red Cross Society (GRCS) invites the public to an upcoming multi-day humanitarian workshop and public engagement event focused on strengthening community resilience and humanitarian readiness.

This event builds on the success of our recent strategic workshop and aims to bring volunteers, partners, and community members together for shared learning and collaboration.

Event Purpose

This event will showcase GRCS’s work in disaster preparedness, health promotion, and community support services while providing participants with opportunities to engage directly with Red Cross volunteers and leaders. Activities will include keynote sessions, practical demonstrations, and interactive discussions on enhancing local humanitarian response capacity

  • A 3-day strategic workshop on humanitarian action building on GRCS’s Unified Plan for 2026–2028.
  • Press briefing sessions as part of public awareness and World Red Cross Day celebrations.
  • Interactive breakout sessions with Red Cross volunteers and community partners.
  • Practical demonstrations in first aid, community health promotion, and disaster readiness.
  • Networking opportunities with humanitarian partners and youth volunteers.
